Gambling Information and Counseling recognizes compulsive gambling to be a treatable disorder and provides the following treatment services.

Support for Compulsive Gamblers and their families is available in the form of Gamblers Anonymous (GA) and Gam-Anon groups.

GA is a fellowship of men and women recovering compulsive gamblers who meet regularly to share their experience, strength and hope in an effort to recover from the consequences of their compulsive gambling.

A twelve step format is employed and the only requirement for membership is the desire to stop gambling.

Gam-Anon provides support and coping strategies for the loved ones adversely affected by the gamblers activities. Call us for a schedule of support groups available throughout New York State.

Gambling Information and Counseling provides educational services throughout Central New York. These services help to heighten awareness of compulsive gambling amongst a diverse set of audiences. Compulsive Gambling has been called the "hidden addiction". Gambling Information & Counseling’s educational mission is to expose this addiction while providing a message of prevention, intervention and hope. Educational services include:

•	Special Population Presentations; (Teens, Senior Citizens, Special Populations, Co-occurring disorders, Incarcerated Compulsive Gamblers)
