HUMAN TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION BOARD ELECTS OFFICERS FOR 2011
The Board of Directors of Human Technologies Corporation (HTC) held its Annual Meeting on December 15, 2010 at the Radisson Hotel Utica Centre.
Lisa Nitze, President/CEO of the Social Enterprise Alliance (SEA) was the guest speaker. Ms. Nitze has served as Vice President of the Global Engagement Team at Ashoka and has spent more than a dozen years as a consultant to nonprofits and public-private partnerships. She created the national public-private partnership Save Ellis Island to restore and reopen America's primary icon
representing the U.S. as a nation of immigrants. Lisa also created and was Executive Director of Prosperity New Jersey, Executive Director of the World Trade Center Baltimore and World Trade Center Institute of Maryland. She serves on
the Board of Directors of the American University of Cairo and the College of the Atlantic. She also is a Speaker Specialist on social entrepreneurship for the U.S. State Department Office of International Information
Ms. Nitze began her career as a broadcast journalist in upstate New York. She holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University, a B.A. from Harvard University and is a graduate of the Leadership New Jersey Program. She now lives in Washington, D.C. with her family.
Ms. Nitze encouraged the employees of HTC to continue their extraordinary efforts in changing the way communities respond to social concerns and to help change the way corporations, government and the nonprofit sectors work together.
She addressed and acknowledged HTC’s leadership role in helping to shape the future for Social Enterprises and recognized the contributions being made each day to eliminate the barriers to full employment that many people with disabilities experience.
The election of the following Officers for the 2010-2013 terms took place.
Andrea LaGatta, Director of Development, St. Elizabeth Medical Center Chair; William Randall, Associate Publisher, Mohawk Valley Business Journal was elected Vice-Chair; John Bach, Director of Communications & Development, Munson Williams Proctor Institute was elected Treasurer/Secretary.
Others Directors include John Bullis, Executive Director Organizational Development, Mohawk Valley Community College; Barry Depot, Operations Manager, Wal-Mart Distribution Center; James Hill, Retired, Business Development Representative, Partners Trust Bank; Harrison J. Hummel, III, President, Hummel’s Office Plus; Donald St. Louis, Retired, St. Louis Gas; Rose White, Retired, Executive Director, Hope House; James Brockway Vice President & Regional Manager, M&T Bank; Immediate Past Chair.
