Pinnacle School to Work Programs

Pinnacle’s School-To-Work Program targets non-college-bound seniors with barriers to employment.
Pinnacle’s goal is to provide each student with the tools necessary to find a job, the security of having a job in their community when they leave school, and the support services necessary to retain that job.

The program offers students:

Opportunities for career exploration
Instruction classes on job readiness
Job placement services
Post-placement support and job coaching

Employment goals are set based on the student’s needs and preferences, and in consultation with teachers and parents.

Student instruction includes:
Filling out job applications
Creating a resume
Writing a cover letter
Interviewing skills
Employer expectations

A customized work plan is devised to help students achieve their goals. Pinnacle also involves the student in community-based experiences, such as visits to work sites and job fairs, and actual interviews. Other services can be tailored to the student’s needs and/or strengths.
